Bringing us your beef or pork is a simple process that starts by making a reservation for your animal(s). We typically book about 3-6 months in advance, so be sure to call as soon as you know you'll have an animal ready.
Once your animal is in our care, our skilled team gets to work, utilizing time-honored techniques and modern methods to ensure optimal flavor and quality.
We offer detailed cut sheets that allow you to customize your order according to your preferences. If you're not sure what to select, our knowledgeable staff can guide you through the process and help you choose the perfect cuts for you and your family.
At Hillis Custom Processing, we believe in transparency and integrity. That's why we base our pricing and yield estimates on the precise hanging weight of your animals, ensuring fairness and accuracy in every transaction.
As soon as we have your hanging weight, we'll call to finalize your order and schedule your pick-up date.
Your flavorful cuts will be frozen and sealed according to your cut sheet specifications, and ready to enjoy approximately 3 weeks after we receive your animal.
Do you charge any fees or minimums?
We pride ourselves in being transparent about our pricing and have included a detailed breakdown on our cut sheets.
The only time we charge additional fees is when it's absolutely necessary due to a request for extra preparation or packaging.
If nothing additional is chosen, you'll be charge a $45.00 disposal fee and $0.75/lb. on the hanging weight of your animal, with a $75.00 minimum.
How far in advance do I need to book my animal reservation?
We typically book about 3-6 months in advance, so as soon as you know you'll have animals ready, give us a call. We'll reserve you a date to drop off your animals and send you a couple of reminders your reservation gets closer.
What if I bring an animal that I'm splitting with someone else?
We get it, an entire beef is A LOT of meat and may be more than some people need. If you are splitting a beef with another person, we will work with each of you to complete half beef cut sheets so you can each get the delicious cuts you'd like.
Can someone else drop off my beef or pork?
Absolutely! Just let us know you'll be having someone else drop off your animal(s) when we make your appointment so we know who to look for when the day comes.
